The City of Photographers is the story of the fearless photographers and photo journalists who documented the demonstrations, violence, protests and the fear among the population during Augusto Pinochet’s military regime in Chile.

The filmmaker Sebastiàn Moreno – himself a son of an activist photographer – talks about his own childhood and manages to get us involved through an interaction of interviews, archive footage and photographs of the actual events – events from a time that the Chilean people would rather forget. The lives that were lost were to be remembered through images. The ones who disappeared would become visible again.
