A popular Dutch TV series forms the basis for the film Dunya & Desie. Dunya from Morocco is best friends with Desie from Holland. Dunya is about to be married away to a cousin she has hardly seen and Desie discovers that her driving teacher has made her pregnant. In an everyday life filled with ever new challenges the two friends lose contact. But fate has it that they both end up in Morocco. In Casablanca the two girls find each other again and together they embark upon the adventure of their life. Dunya and Desie is a heart-warming comedy about relationships across cultures – a film about friendship and family. red.

Sjarmerende og rørende om vennskap og kulturkrasj. Humoristisk blikk på alvorlig tema. Anbefales ungdom fra 14-70. Slutten er vel litt for god til å virke særlig troverdig, men det gjør ikke så mye, for Maryam Hassouni og Eva van de Wijdeven bærer filmen med glitrende skuespill.

En søt og sjarmerende film, men passer nok best for ungdom. Så filmen sammen med en ungdomsskole, og elevene virket veldig begeistret mens jeg angret litt på at jeg ikke valgte en annen film istedenfor... Anne G.
