Kerosono is named after the liquid that killed his mother. As the son of a prostitute, he is raised by his mother’s violent pimp – who always finds an opportunity to make his life more miserable. He turns to a life of crime, which is a path of anger and frustration. Deep inside, Kerosono wants to find something better, a peace neither he nor his mother has experienced.

Quero is an award-winning film where a boy born into an unpleasant life takes us on a dizzying trip marked by anger and hopelessness. An emotionally involved camera and use of sound make this film an experience that will take your breath away. Carlos Cortez`s first film is drama that will remain with you long after you have left the theatre.
