The year is 1982 and the Argentine military dictatorship is about to collapse. Marita works at a school obsessed with maintaining peace and order and Mr. Biasutto, Marita's boss, is nothing less than an ideological blueprint of the rule. His mantra is surveillance and endurance in order to maintain school discipline. Marita's rough facade begins to crumble when she falls in love with one of her students. At the same time Mr. Biasutto starts his cautious approach towards her. Discipline stands against desire, for all parties. Through the individual balance of control and desire the school becomes a microcosm of a military dictatorship without control, and a metaphor for the growing anger in the capital. mft
