After the death of their grandfather, Jairo and his mute cousin Marina decide to go back to try to recover the land they were displaced from years ago. They travel from Bogota to the coast in a battered Renault that is soon being chased by both past and present. Along the way we are told stories that are truly heartbreaking, presenting the magnitude of a forgotten tragedy. Thus the film becomes a nostalgic roadmovie about Colombia's forgotten civil war, and it has been screened at numerous film festivals around the world since its release last year. red
