30 years after Nahid Persson Sarvestani demonstrated against the Shah in the streets of Teheran, she travels to Paris to interview the Shahs wife in exile. Nahid wants to confront the queen with the terrible state of affairs during the Shah's regime in Iran, but is charmed and develops an odd sympathy for her. As viewers we share Nahid's sentiment while still eagerly waiting for her to step up and confront the queen with the lack of freedom, the widespread torture and executions she silently supported during her husband’s reign. ktk
