In the heart of India lies the poverty-stricken village of Malegaon. As an escape from their dreary reality the population looks to film to grant them a distraction. A small group of local enthusiasts have found success making low-budget versions of Bollywood productions. Next they are going to tackle the legend of Superman. We follow the team through their at times absurd shooting process, full of comic episodes and glorious mishaps. Along the way we also get to know the village as a microcosm of India’s contrasts and complexities.
