A tasteful film trilogy by three young female Asian directors. Chinese Wang Jing, Thai Anocha Suwichakornpong and Singaporean Kaz Cai have made three poignant sequences that are tightly woven together through the exploration of the complexities of love and vulnerability. The three female protagonists – each called Mei – meet the challenges of letting go, facing and remembering love. The first two sequences are subtle and quiet, while Kaz Cai’s contribution delights the viewer with memories of love from lost times. bb
