POVERTY AND THE ARMS TRADE
Shooting Poverty is produced by the charity organization Oxfam International. The three-part film takes us to Burundi, Rio de Janeiro and India to meet with people living in poverty where weapons and arms trade are a natural part of life.
We meet director Brice Blondel, Ida Thomassen from the Norwegian Church, Mayra Juca from the Brazilin culture project Viva Favela to talk about poverty and arms trade, with emphasis on Brazil. Sara Prosser will lead the conversation.
