HOW TO UNDERSTAND TRAFFICKING?

Director Ananya Chakraborti guests Films From the South with her film No Man’s Land. The documentary shows the grim realities behind the statistics of trafficking victims focusing on countries like India, Bangladesh and Nepal. Among other things, Chakraborti focuses on the difference between voluntary and forced prostitution. An estimated number of one million women worldwide are involved in trafficking including an unknown number of people working as traffickers.

In a conversation with Romana Cacchioli from Anti-Slavery International, Ananya Chakraborti will talk about her film and discuss the many issues surrounding human trafficking. Gry Veiby from NRK P2 will lead the conversation.
