A stunning Iranian drama depicting young people's rebellion against claustrophobic traditions. In conservative Iran, the freedom to pursue personal dreams is often non-existent. Dog Sweat is a portrait of six young Iranians who each fight a battle to be able to fulfill their desires. The film not only treats such obviously controversial topics as homosexuality and premarital sex, but also social inequality as well as rigid norms and traditions. We witness the frustration that leads each character to rise up and confront the limitations imposed upon them by society. Dog Sweat is a bold attempt to show an Iran that differs radically from what we are used to see. kej
