As a young woman, Firouzeh Khosrovani left for Italy to study art at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. After her studies, she returned to Tehran and tok a master’s degree in journalism. Her film debut came in 2004 with Life Train, and since then she’s made a number of award winning documentary films. She’s also had numerous art installations and contributed as a journalist for Italian and international press. Her documentary, Fest of Duty, won among others the Oxfam awards at IDFA 2014. Radiograph of a Family is her first documentary feature, and the documentary will be screened at Films from the South.
