Everything about the festival pass, and how to retrieve tickets.

The prices below apply to the 2023 edition of the festival and may therefore change for Films from the South 2024.

Watch as many films as you would like at this year's festival. There are only 150 passes available.

Info about the Festival Pass

The festival pass is purchased on Nordisk Film Kino's website.
Confirmation of the festival pass purchase will be received within 24 hours.
With the festival pass, you have free access to the entire program.
When it's sold out, only individual tickets for the screenings will be available.
After purchasing the pass, you will receive a digital festival pass with codes used to redeem tickets.

How to Redeem Tickets?

The festival pass grants free entry to all films during the festival, but tickets must be redeemed in advance of each screening. It is possible that screenings may sell out, so it's wise to book tickets well in advance. This can be done via Film fra Sør, Vega Scene, Nordisk Film Kinos, and Cinemateket's websites. Only one ticket per screening can be redeemed, and the festival pass can only be used by one person.

For ticket collection at the cinema, simply order your ticket at the kiosk/ticket counter and present your festival pass.

To redeem tickets online, follow these steps:

Vega Scene

Select the screening.
Choose the ticket category «Film fra Sør festivalpass» and the number of tickets (only one ticket per festival pass).
In the «Kupung» field, enter the code belonging to Vega Scene.
Then enter the 4-digit pin code belonging to Vega Scene.
Enter your mobile number, name, and email address.
Complete the transaction.
You will receive an SMS with a link to a mobile ticket for the screening. This must be shown for entry to the screening.

Vika, Nordisk film kino

Select the screening.
Choose the ticket category «Standard voksen» and choose 1 ticket.
Then click on the «Løs inn» button under «Rabatter».
In the «Kode» field, copy/write the entire code for Nordisk Film Kino, including FFS (e.g., FFS1234567891234).
Then click «Neste».
Log in to your user account/click «Fortsett som gjest» and enter your mobile number, name, and email address.
Complete the transaction.
You will receive the ticket via SMS and email. The ticket must be shown for entry to the screening.

Use of festival pass

The festival pass is personal and gives free access to all the films during the festival, but tickets have to be collected before the screenings. Screenings may be sold out, so it can be a good idea to book tickets well in advance. It is only possible to collect one ticket per screening.

If you have a festival pass and can’t come to a screening you have booked tickets for we encourage you to return the ticket to the cinema. In this way someone else will have the opportunity to take your place. Many of our screenings are sold out, and we do not wish to have empty seats at sold out screenings.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: To use the festival pass at Cinemateket, you must send your phone number to the following email: [email protected]. Your festival pass will be activated at Cinemateket within 24 hours after we receive your phone number. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Select the screening
Choose the ticket category 'Film fra Sør.'
Proceed to payment.
Press 'I am a member.'
Enter your phone number.
Enter the verification code you receive on your mobile.
Complete the transaction.
You will receive an SMS with a link to a mobile ticket for the screening. This must be shown for entry to the cinema hall.

Using the Festival Pass

If you have a festival pass and cannot attend a screening, please exchange your ticket. This way, others can enjoy your seat. Many of our screenings will sell out, and we do not want empty seats at sold-out screenings.
