This year’s festival takes place from 5 NOV to 15 NOV. Check our website, Instagram and Facebook page for film announcements and more information about the festival.
Create your personal festival programme
Mark films in the programme with the heart symbol and create a personal schedule in «My Films».
N.B: You will need to create a user connected to your email address to save your schedule.

REGULAR SINGLE TICKET: 175 kr
SPECIAL SCREENING: 195 kr
STUDENT TICKET: 145 kr
CHILDREN'S TICKET: 110 kr (for children up to 12 years)
VEGAVENN: 145 kr (Only for tickets at Vega Scene)
GROUP DISCOUNT: For groups of more than 10 people, a 20% discount is given. Group tickets can be purchased directly on Vega Scene’s website. For Vika or Cinemateket, please contact [email protected].
REGULAR FESTIVAL PASS: 1750 kr
STUDENT PASS: 875 kr
INDUSTRY PASS (apply here): 875 kr

Discount for groups
Did you know that if you’re a group of more than 10 people going to a screening at Vega Scene or Nordisk Film Kino, you can get a 20% group discount on your tickets?
For a group discount at Vega: Select the ticket category “FFS gruppebillett 10” when purchasing tickets.
For a group discount at Vika and Cinemateket: Please contact [email protected] to book your tickets.
Seating assignment
The tickets for Films from the South are not numbered. This means you can sit wherever you want when you arrive. This also makes it easier to go to the festival with friends without buying tickets at the same time.

We follow the cinemas’ guidelines for refund and exchange of tickets. Contact the cinemas:
Age limits
All films screened during Films from the South have age ratings, which are listed in the film descriptions on our program pages. Parents or guardians may bring children who are up to three years younger than the stated age limit. The exception is the 18-year age limit, which is absolute. For more information about age ratings in Norway, visit www.medietilsynet.no.
Accessibility
All of the festival's cinema screens are accessible to wheelchair users. Below you'll find information on booking tickets for wheelchair users, as well as companion tickets.
Cinemateket i Oslo
If you would like a wheelchair space, please contact the ticket desk (phone 22 47 45 89) and they will reserve a space for you. Companions with a companion card (ledsagerbevis) are admitted free of charge but must collect their own ticket.

Vega Scene
Vega Scene is universally designed and has one wheelchair space with an adjoining companion seat per screen. Free entry for companions with a companion card. To reserve a wheelchair space, contact us at [email protected] or call Vega Scene on 22 12 06 01.
Wheelchair spaces are released for general sale 1 hour before the screening starts.

To reserve wheelchair spaces or tickets with a companion card, you have several options:
Book tickets using your KinoPluss profile.*
Speak to the cashier at the cinema and show your companion card when booking.
Reserve tickets by phone with customer service (contact info: Tel: 21 60 79 29, Email: [email protected]).
*Companion tickets online/via app:
As a KinoPluss member, your companion card can be linked to your personal profile! Send an email to our customer service team with a photo of your companion card (contact info: Tel: 21 60 79 29, Email: [email protected]) and make sure the validity period on the card is legible.
Once the card is registered, your KinoPluss profile will have companion access, where you can easily book one companion ticket per order online/via app.
Subtitles
The vast majority of our films are subtitled in English, with only a few exceptions. Information about the subtitle language for each film is provided on the individual film pages in our program.

The Films from the South Festival will have information stands in all our cinemas during the festival. Here, our volunteers will help you pick and choose between this year’s festival films and answer any practical questions you may have about the festival.
