Welcome to a celebraiton of Ryuichi Sakamoto with screenings of MERRY CHRISTMAS, MR. LAWRENCE and the documentary RYUICHI SAKAMOTO: CODA. Between the screenings there will be a 20 minute concert with Sakamoto’s music by Kjetil Schjander Luhr and Hans-Peter Lindstrøm.

Nagisa Oshima's first English-language film features, among others, David Bowie, the Japanese cult director Takeshi Kitano (SONATINE, HANA-BI), and the pop star Ryuichi Sakamoto (who also provides the excellent music) in leading roles - all three in very convincing performances.
