Clouds Over Conakry

Clouds Over Conakry explores the issues of the modern and the traditional and how dramatic such a clash can be for today’s young in Africa. We meet the young lovers Kesso and Bibi. Bibi is the son of an imam and his father wants him to follow in his fotsteps. This, however, is not a part of Bibi's plan for the future, as he is working as a caricaturist at a political newspaper. Kesso becomes pregnant and that is not according to anybody's plan. The young couple wants to fulfil the wishes of their families and especially the ones of his religious family, This is a well-made film with great actors and splendid use of music. akl
