It has been 33 years since Doctor Parsa last visited his home country Iran. In Germany he has created a seemingly perfect life, with career, wife and children – a life that is, however, slowly disintegrating. When Parsa revisits his old roots he meets people who make him confront himself.
Colors of Memory is a stylistic and rich story of how different cultures can live within one and the same person. Doctor Parsa is the immigrant, the man who let his family down, and the prodigal son, all wraped into one. His hometown has met revolution and storms, and the same now takes place within Parsa.
