It is 1958. Gurukant Desay returns to India after several years abroad, in hoping to convince his father that he can find success and prosperity in his own country. As a young boy, he never managed to live up to his father’s expectations and went to Turkey to try his luck there. After having carried the burden of his father’s disappointment for a long time, he wants a new opportunity to prove that he can reach the goals that was set for him. To impress his father, the ambitious and purposeful Guru decides on an easy way – he marries Sujata, the beautiful daughter of a rich man, in hope of economic gain, but it turns out that she is hiding a dark secret ...
