This is the story of the director’s father, Max Weisman, a well-known journalist and activist who fought side by side with Castro for many years. In this documentary his daughter returns to Cuba in an attempt to find out what was behind her father’s engagement – which lasted until he fell out with Castro, became more critical to the Cuban regime and had to escape to the US. With a watchful gaze the director explores the gap between the Cubans who stayed on the island and those who fled. red.
