Still Walking

Junpei gave his life to save a young boy and each year his family come together on the anniversary of his death to honour his memory, a memory so sacred that it overshadows the rest of the familymembers. Especially the brother Ryota, has trouble adapting to the fragile peace. This year the commemoration is made even more complicated when the boy Junpei saved comes to visit. Again Kore-eda demonstrates how he masters the unspoken, and what lies between the lines. Still Walking is a beautiful and warm film, where a smile is always ready to break out along with the tears.
