In October 2007, Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan from exile, in order to campaign against the military regime. Two months later she was assassinated. Bhutto is a documentary about Pakistan’s leading political family, from the foundation of Pakistan Peoples Party by Bhuttos legendary father Zufilkar, to present time where the party is led by Benazir's son Bilawal. Bhutto delivers a powerful portrayal of the iconic, yet controversial leader's fight for democracy in a country wracked by conflict, and how she would return again and again despite imprisonment, accusals of corruption and personal danger. hh
