Restoration

After his long-standing business partner’s death, Yakov Fidelman discovers that his antique furniture restoration shop is in a serious financial crisis. He is a troubled man burdened by grief and worries. A cold relationship with his son Noah gets even more frozen when he cynically proposes to build an apartment complex above his father’s beloved store. A Steinway piano from 1882 seems to be the rescue. The problems abound when Fidelman starts scraping away a century of dirt and paint from the old piano together with his new employee Anton. Noah's jealousy seems to have no limits and the introverted Fidelman is in desperate need of the same treatment and care the piano gets. mft
