Rio de Janeiro is hosting the football World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016. In parts of the city the authorities has declared a war on drug gangs. The crime rate is high. How are the lives of the inhabitants in the midst of this transformation? What stories emerge from Rio's many neighbourhoods? How does the police work in the world’s toughest city?
