The Forbidden Door

Mysterious and uncanny movie about the Indonesian upper-class. Gabir is living any artist’s dream. He is well-respected and is paid good money for his works. He is surrounded by friends, has a beautiful wife and a luxurious house. Then suddenly things begin to change. His marriage is cast into crisis and he starts to receive odd messages from a stranger. On top of that he discovers a hidden door in his own house, which his wife, Talyda, won’t let him pass. Forbidden Door is a mysterious and frightening movie, with an elegantly layered plot that includes secret societies, child abuse, poisoning and Russian roulette. Not a movie to be seen right before you go to sleep, but definitely a movie that should be seen. fk
