Bekas
Iraqi Kurdistan, 1990. Homeless and orphaned brothers Zana and Dana earn their living as shoe polishers. In Kurdish, «Bekas» means someone who has lost their family members. Through a hole in the wall of the local cinema, they catch a glimpse of the invincible Superman. The two brothers decide to go to America to find Superman, their great hero. But without passports or money, the journey looks impossible. Eager to follow their dream, the boys do what they can to make it come true. This is a charming and beautiful story about brotherhood and overcoming great obstacles. With lots of humour and magical moments, we follow them as they chase their dream. ibh
