Two young sisters, Koharu (17) and Hazuki (20), live with their mother Sawa. Fourteen years earlier, her husband left them to marry another woman. When Sawa learns that he is dying, she tells her daughters to visit him to say their goodbyes. She also wants them to take his picture, so she can laugh at it. It is clear that she has still not forgiven him for leaving them. On the train over, the girls discuss their relationship with their father, and how they remember him. They were very young when he left, and are not certain how they should feel about him dying. Although a melancholy film, there is still a certain lightness to it. ibh
