Himmatwala

A catchy action-comedy with punch. The year is 1983 and Ravi returns to his childhood village Ramnager. He reunites with his mother and sister, who live in extreme poverty after the village’s tyrannical leader banished them to the outskirts of town. The fighter Ravi sets out to restore his family’s honour, and he fights with both brain and brawn against mercenaries, wild tigers, spoilt city girls and village clowns. This farcical remake of the 1983 film by the same name is a comedy in true Bollywood style. Sajid Khan (b. 1971) was born in Mumbai, India, and is a filmmaker, actor, screenwriter and talk show host. He started his directing career with the film Darna Zaroori Hai (2006) and then made Heyy Babyy (2007), Housefull (2010), Housefull 2 (2012) and Himmatwala (2013).
