Fasten your seatbelt, because a wilder family drama than this one is difficult to find! Arguing is a never-ending story in Tavakoli’s new film, and is grounded in Surrealism’s Paradise. Apparently, a broken window triggers an accumulating number of conflicts between two large families in today’s Tehran. However, the actual root to conflict can also be a failed marriage (or, maybe more than one?). Why, then, is Diego Maradona the one who gets all the blame?

The author Farhad has stolen another man’s work, and is forced to pay back with a new story – before someone kills himself. Farhad’s writing progresses parallel to the story of the film, thus the lines between reality and fiction are blurred. If you are not fluent in Farsi, you will have to concentrate to follow the overlapping dialogues. In return you will get a strong feeling of satisfaction when you realise where the story is taking you. And we promise – you will be surprised!
