Do you actually know where your cell phone and laptop go to die? It might be to the giant waste dump Agbogbloshie i Ghana. Here men, women and children work in an apocalyptic landscape of burning waste, toxic liquids, abandonded flat screen televisions, phones and computers. Their job is to dismantle and sort out the 250 ooo tonnes of electronic waste sent here illegaly every year. This visually striking documentary follows some of the people involved in the hellish work at Agbogbloshie and how it results from the strict environmental practices and modern consumerism of Western countries.
