The Good Intentions
We are in Buenos Aires in the early 1990s. Ten year-old Amanda faces an impossible dillema when she learns that her mother and stepfather are moving to Paraguay to escape a poverty-stricken Argentina. They wil be taking Amanda and her two younger siblings with them, which means that Amanda can no longer live part-time with her beloved father, who has a more carefree approach to parenting and life in general. The Good Intentions is a tender feel-good film about a father/daughter relationship. It is director Ana García Blayas debut film, and the story bears close resemblance to her own childhood experience.
