Luzmila & the Birds // Oslo World
The documentary Luzmila and the Birds explores the life and work of the Bolivian artist Luzmila Carpio, who will be performing at the National Jazz Scene on Saturday, November 2nd, during Oslo World.
Luzmila Carpio popularized the Quechua language worldwide, and her music has taken her from her hometown of Potosí to stages across the globe. In the documentary, we meet Carpio in the present – she travels around in search of the voice of the land, Pachamama, and collects memories of her life, which is interwoven with nature, her people, and the community.
