HA-CHAN SHAKE YOUR BOOTY! is both a lovely dramedy, and one of the most beautiful depictions of grief of the year.
Haru and her husband Luis take their ballroom dancing very seriously and compete in rumba, tango and paso doble across Tokyo. When Luis suddenly passes away, Haru loses her spark. Several months later, her sister and cousin decide that something must be done and convince her to return to the dance studio. Then sexy, new dance teacher Fedir enters her life (with an open marriage thrown in), who may be able to help Haru out of her stagnant existence.
