In LADY, a female taxi driver becomes the private driver for a group of sex workers in Nigeria's largest city, Lagos.
Lady works as a driver on the chaotic streets of Lagos. Gasoline prices keep rising, and every day she prepares for the workday as if she were heading into battle. One day, her childhood friend Pinky re-enters her life. Pinky offers her an opportunity to earn some extra cash: driving a group of sex workers at night. Lady reluctantly accepts the offer. In the group, she finds an unexpected sense of solidarity.
Lady is the debut feature from Olive Nwosu and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
