Makbul Mubarak
Makbul Mubarak is born in Indonesia. Prior to becoming a filmmaker, he worked as a film critic, and was named Best Film Critic in 2015 by Indonesia’s Ministry of Education. His shorts include The Dog’s Lullaby (2015) and The Malediction (2016). Mubarak is visiting the festival with his debut feature Autobiography and will be present at select screenings. The film premiered at the film festival in Venice earlier this year, where it won the FIPRESCI Award.
