In the compelling documentary Everest Dark, we meet retired Sherpa Mingma Tsiri as he takes a final trip into the mountain to retrieve the bodies of climbers who have died.

With striking images of magnificent nature contrasting with littered areas and long queues up to the summit, the film questions whether climbers have lost touch with nature in favor of dreams of glory and fame. After the film, we invite you to join us for a discussion about the importance of respecting the mountains and nature, the Buddhist way of living, and life in the Himalayas, both for the local population and explorers.
