Sound plays a bigger role in films and TV than we might realise. Some sounds are so subtle we barely notice them, while others, especially music, can completely change the mood of a scene. Imagine someone slicing bread in the morning, with cheerful music playing in the background. Now swap that music for something dark and dramatic, and suddenly the same scene feels entirely different.

In this hands-on workshop, children will get to experiment with creating their own sounds and music for images shown on screen. It's a fun and creative way to discover just how much sound can influence what we see and how we experience it.

Practical information

The workshop takes place in Flåklypa at Cinemateket in Oslo.

Two sessions will be held: Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 15, both at 12:15.

The workshop is free to attend.
