Le monde est un ballet

A well-known singer (played by Flora Ilboudo) loses her husband on their honeymoon, but is unable to cope with the tragedy and continues to pretend that he is still alive. Her grief takes over completely and she wanders the streets without being able to take care of herself and her baby. Finally she meets a taxi driver (played by Issaka Sawadogo) who helps her back to life.

Director Issa Traoré de Brahima has worked both as an actor and assistant on several films before he took over the director’s chair. Films from the South screened de Brahima’s short film Gombele in 1995. akl
