L’Affaire Villemin is a fictional depiction of the actual events that followed the murder of four-year-old Grégory Villemin in France in the early 1980s. In this mini series from 2006 the director explores themes like the invasion of privacy by the media, the application of law, and the divided views of the French public on one of the most discussed murder cases in French history. The series is based on the book "Le bücher des innocents" (Slakteren av de uskyldige) by the journalist Laurence Lacour, but scriptwriters Peck and Pascal Bonitzer worked together with the child’s parents in the preparation for the series. A deeply moving and engaging story with solid performances. tlå
