Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
This Ghibli classic offers a remarkably beautiful and thrilling animated world about princess Nausicaä and her fight to save her people when an expanding epidemic threatens civilization.
Nausicaä is a princess in the peaceful land of «the Valley of the Wind» and finds herself at the center of events when a Tolmekian aircraft crashes in the valley. The aircraft is revealed to be filled with the embryo of a creature that can stop the epidemic but also grant its owner dominion over other human races. This triggers a war in which Nausicaä plays a central role. Here, geopolitical and ethical issues are brought to the forefront and portrayed in a strikingly beautiful and action-packed world.
