Not the first in the line of Turkish films about young men seeking fortune in the big city, but here a dynamic and documentarist rejuventaion of poetic realism provides a fresh take on the theme. It was shot on location in Istanbul, in the void between polished capitalism and chaotic underground, an efficient architectural illustration of power structures and spaces of posibility and limitation. We follow Selim and Çaças, aspiring for their break to secure a brighter future - a likely possibility withouth the helping tentackles of the Mafia?
