In 1962, the famous poet Forough Farrokhzad travels to a leper camp in northern Iran. She directs the documentary The House is Black based on the residents' lives. A special bond forms between the director and young Hossein, and she takes the boy with her to pre-revolutionary Tehran where he grows up. We meet Hossein again as an adult, living in Munich. He is attempting to introduce Farrokhzad's poetry to the German audience through translations and art exhibitions. In Moon Sun, Flower Game the amazing story of his adoptive mother initiates Hossein's approach to difficult questions about his own identity and Iranian roots. mft
