The Man of the Crowd
Juvenal is a subway machinist in Belo Horizonte in Brazil, where he lives a quiet life in the big city. He prefers to be a man of the crowd and seems to like to be on his own. One day, his colleague Margo asks him to be a witness in her coming wedding as she has no one else to ask. It turns out that she also lives an asocial life, although in a different way.
The film uses a special photographic effect, showing only a square format, which resembles a Polaroid photo. The crowds of people in the streets, on the elevator stairs, and on the train station are all blurry, except for Juvenal. This gives the film an artistic touch. ahm
