Finding Gaston is a moving portrait that leaves both eyes and teeth watering. We follow the visionary chef Gaston Acurio and his reformation of Peruvian cusine and food industry. His food mission extends beyond pots and plates. With a beating heart for the home country´s culture, as well as a humility for the journey from farm to fork, he has been led from Lima to some of the world´s most prestigious kitchens. The family restaurant “Astrid y Gáston” is number 14 on the list of the worlds best restaurants, with an identity mark in the restaurant of local organic commodities acted ethically from indigenous, farmers and fishermen. This has made him Peru´s national treasure and one of the world´s most acknowledged chefs. He has merged restaurants ranging from Lima through Miami to London. His holistic food pholosophy stretches way beyond just cooking. Not only does he master his work, but also the art of being a good person. You will exit the theatre with inspiration to take home to your own kitchen, and furthermore, to be a better version of yourself.
