His food mission extends beyond pots and plates. With a beating heart for the home country´s culture, as well as a humility for the journey from farm to fork, he has been led from Lima to some of the world´s most prestigious kitchens. The family restaurant “Astrid y Gáston” is number 14 on the list of the worlds best restaurants, with an identity mark in the restaurant of local organic commodities acted ethically from indigenous, farmers and fishermen. This has made him Peru´s national treasure and one of the world´s most acknowledged chefs. He has merged restaurants ranging from Lima through Miami to London. Julia Patricia Perez has over 14 years of experience with film and TV production. Finding Gaston (2014) is her first feature length documentary, in which she also wrote the screenplay and produced. She is a member of Director´s Guild of America, and has worked for Disney, Paramount Pictures, Showtime, CBS and ABC.
