Six very different men are forced stay on board a big cargo ship for months anchored outside the cost of Egypt, when the ship’s owner goes bankrupt, and they are awaiting salary and permission to dock. As the days goes by, the tension within the crew grows, and the seditious and mystical Cenk (Nadir Saribacak from Nuri Bilge Ceylans’ Winter Sleep) seems ready to make a mutiny. Combined with an atmospheric original score, the depiction of the ship’s interior creates an increasingly claustrophobic feeling and mirrors the seamen’s psychological state.
