Drama and dark comedy, pub brawls and explodingg chicken – Butterflies is not boring for one second. Set in the Turkish countryside, it follows the three siblings Cemal, Kenan and Suzi, who have barely been in touch with each other after they all moved away from home almost thirty years ago. When their father calls them to his death bed, however, all three travel to be there. But why has he summoned them? The solution to this mystery comes as a grand finale to a film that deals just as much with how journeys bring life to memories, and with the hope that it is never to late to change.
