Howl's Moving Castle
In this colourful Miyazaki-classic, Sophie meets the magician Howl and his spectacular wandering castle. A gripping and adventurous animation about destiny, courage and love.
The moving castle is powered by the fire demon Calcifer, who in turn is cursed by the young and handsome wizard Hauru. Together, Sofie and Calcifer try to break the enchantment that binds them. The film is based on the popular young adult novel "Howl's Moving Castle" by Diana Wynne-Jones. However, Miyazaki's wild creative talent has turned this film into a work that stands firmly on its own, reimagined within Miyazaki's entirely unique animated universe.
