Tiger Stripes
The beast comes to life when the oppositional twelve-year-old Zaffan gets her first period. In this horror film, she becomes an outcast in her friend group and mass hysteria spreads around her.
12-year-old Zaffan is the center of attention within the group and is constantly at odds with the strict rules at the girls' school. Her role quickly shifts from the center to an outcast when strange things start happening to her body in connection with her first menstruation. The beast has awakened, quite literally.
The film won the prestigious main award in the Critic's Week in Cannes earlier this year.
