A sweet story about generations, memories, and family. A grandmother teaches her granddaughter various tasks, big and small. The girl comes up with all sorts of mischief, and the grandmother gets irritated. But then the grandmother recalls a memory from her own childhood.
Tintico’s Afternoons (Las Tardes de Tintico)

In the home of an old rumba master lives a swarm of mosquitoes. They love music and play in an orchestra. When the old master’s record player breaks, they try to bring joy and music back into the house.
Mexican Children’s Workshop and Face Painting // Children's Films from the South
In connection with the screening of the short film program, we will be visited by Lucia Diaz del Castillo, who will hold a children’s workshop focusing on Mexican folk art. The events takes place between 11.00 - 14.00 at Cinemateket in Oslo.
The first Saturday during the festival there will be face painting outside the cinemas. The second weekend there will be a mask workshop outside the cinemas.
About Lucia Diaz del Castillo:
Lucia is a Mexican visual artist who has lived in Norway since 1984. With folk art as her specialty, she uses a variety of techniques, materials, and symbolism, which can be found in Mexican art traditions. Lucia will hold a workshop for the children, where you can, among other things, make your own masks.
The short films are shown in collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico and IMCINE. In addition, we will be visited by the artist Lucia Diaz del Castillo, who will hold a workshop for the children.
