An animated film for all ages about a little Belgian girl growing up in Japan.

Amelie is a little Belgian girl born in Japan. Thanks to her friend Nishio-san, her life is full of adventures and discoveries. But on her third birthday, a single event changes everything. For Amelie, everything is at stake – both happiness and tragedy.

Little Amélie or the Character of Rain is an animated film for children, parents, and grandparents. Based on a novel by author Amélie Nothomb, who spent her early years in Japan, the film follows Amelie from ages 2 to 4. It portrays her view of life, Japan, and the people around her. A truly unique film!

The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. It is dubbed in Norwegian and suitable for children aged 6 and up.
