The actor Matias and the politician Rafael begin a secret affair. As both rise to fame, they crave increasingly risky encounters.
Soon, the risk of being caught becomes a central part of their sex life. Night Stage draws on one of the great genres of the 1980s – the erotic thriller – but with a distinctly queer sensibility. For Matias and Rafael, the game is both liberating and threatening: a way to break free from the roles imposed by society and their careers, even as the danger of exposure threatens to destroy everything they have built.
